Oh, those sweet pregnancy dreams

Pregnancy has been known to induce some rather peculiar dreams. I’ve had the eerie, the scary, the vivid, and the psychic.

I’ve had so many dreams about my little one. Very early in my pregnancy, my deep paranoia came out in my dreams. I was so scared of losing him/her that I dreamt about miscarrying almost every night. Some were so vivid that I would wake up in the middle of the night to check my underwear for blood (true story). I was convinced I was going to lose him/her.

And the nightmares…oh, the nightmares. Completely and utterly terrifying they are. In my sweet slumber, I’ve been raped, murdered, shot. I’ve even been an accomplice to a serial killer. The nightmares always seem the most lucid: I wake up in a cold sweat, heart pounding, and goose bumps creeping over my body. Then, of course, I convince myself that I feel the demon from Paranormal Activity breathing down my neck. Totally logical, right?

Please, mamas, tell me I’m not alone. Tell me you’ve been a worthy subject of an episode of CSI in your dreams. Share in the comments 🙂

YOur not alone dear, I too is having a nightmares once in a while especially when my husband was out of the country. I told my mom about those nightmares and she think that i worry too much about my pregnancy that’s the reason why nightmares keep on disturbing my sleep.

Nothing CSI worthy (so far), but I have dreams that are vivid and a bit bizarre. My favorite recently was one where my coworker was very excited about a game on how to shank people for her kids (5 & 7) on her phone.

Haha, are you pregnant? How far along are you? Most of my really weird and scary dreams were in the first trimester. I’m still getting odd and random dreams, but not as many scary…thank god.

I’ve had some weird ones. Last night’s was one of the worst. I’d wake up from it and when I fell back asleep, I’d be right back in the same dream! The scariest part of the dream was I was stuck in a casino and I couldn’t leave until I paid a ransom of $5000, which of course, I didn’t have. I did finally escape, but it was via the trash chute!

My husband is away as well (for a total of 5 weeks this time) but I don’t know if his not being here is influencing my dreams or if I am just stressed out in general.

The trash chute…weird! I know what you mean about falling back asleep and picking up the same dream (which I think is so crazy btw). That’s half the reason I am terrified to fall back asleep after a bad dream.
